We hike up a steep forest path to the top of the 100m high Wanganui Falls and pause for morning tea. Then we pass though tall, dense rainforest which gently rises to the 50m Lyrebird Falls; so well hidden that is not even marked on maps. We return the same way. This is a beautiful hike, covering only a few kms.
