We walk from Wanganui up to the top of a spectacular waterfall with great swimming opportunities before heading up through the unlogged Lost Valley to Lyre bird falls, returning the same way. A very special place.
This walk is on a rough track to the top of the falls before becoming off track for the last half to Lyre bird falls, There is a good likelyhood of getting wet feet and it suits people up for a bit of adventure. Definitely a day for a swim so bring your swimmers and lunch.
